Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Sports Medicine Specialist to diagnose, treat, and prevent injuries related to sports and physical activity. The role focuses on musculoskeletal health, injury rehabilitation, and performance optimization for athletes and active individuals, using both non-surgical and minimally invasive approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage sports-related injuries (sprains, strains, ligament injuries, fractures, tendonitis, etc.)
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, PRP therapy, and ultrasound-guided interventions
- Provide injury prevention strategies and fitness advice to patients and athletes
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor recovery progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Conduct pre-participation physical evaluations for athletes
- Educate patients on injury management, rehabilitation, and safe return-to-sport practices
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with DOH standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and clinical governance protocols
- Stay updated with advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Postgraduate qualification in Sports Medicine / Orthopedics / Family Medicine with sports medicine specialization
- Valid DOH License as Specialist Sports Medicine (or DOH Eligibility)
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in sports medicine
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal medicine and rehabilitation
- Experience with non-surgical procedures and sports injury management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Arabic speaker preferred
- Must be stationed in Alain
